Ala Indo

We have been making mostly Western desserts so it was a nice change to do something Asian for once. Last week, we prepared a high tea spread of Indonesian/Malaysian finger food and dessert for a birthday celebration. Theme colors were purple, green and yellow. Take a look at the pictures.

{High Tea was held at home, on a round table. We provided all the decoration}

{Main Course: Nasi Kuning with Chicken Rendang, Emping, Vegetables and Sliced Eggs}

{Nasi Kuning packed in individual portions for easy picking. All meat and vegetables are packed inside}

{Sop Merah or Tomato Soup: refreshing & great tasting}

{Resoles or Indonesian Fried Popiah}

{Kembang Goyang}

{Pisang Goreng, always a "hot" favorite}

{Sago Gula Melaka topped with Coconut Cream}

{Klepon: Glutinous balls filled with sweet Gula Melaka}

{What is a birthday without a cake? Two layered fondant covered coffee walnut cake}

{Royal Icing Flower Details}
